Year 6 Conquer Marchant’s Hill!

Last week, our Year 6 pupils embarked on an unforgettable residential adventure to PGL Marchant’s Hill – and what a week it was!
From the moment they arrived, the children threw themselves into every challenge with determination, courage and enthusiasm. Whether they were scaling the heights of Jacob’s Ladder, taking a leap of faith (literally!), flying down the zip wire, or abseiling with nerves of steel, their resilience and team spirit were truly inspiring.
Throughout the week, they also took part in survival skills sessions, developed their accuracy in rifle shooting, and tested their communication and cooperation in a range of team-building activities. These moments not only built confidence and independence but also created memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
The staff at PGL commented on how polite, engaged and supportive our pupils were – a real credit to our school. We could not be prouder of how each and every child embraced the experience.
We would also like to take a moment to thank our wonderful Year 6 staff team, who supported, encouraged and cheered the children on every step of the way. We think they’ve just about recovered…!
A huge well done to all of Year 6 – you were absolutely amazing. We cannot wait to see the confidence and teamwork you’ve developed shine through in your final few weeks at primary school.
