A Day to Remember at the Kia Oval

On Monday, a group of our pupils had the fantastic opportunity to visit the iconic Kia Oval to watch Surrey take on Durham in an exciting day of cricket.

The sun was shining and spirits were high as children settled into their seats to enjoy the action on the pitch. But the day offered much more than just spectating — pupils were also invited to take part in a variety of engaging games and activities that brought the sport to life in fun and interactive ways.

One of the highlights of the day came when children had the chance to meet some of the professional players and collect their autographs — a truly memorable experience for any young cricket fan.

Mr Ashby, who accompanied the group, reflected on the day:
“It was brilliant to see the children so engaged — not just with the match itself, but with all the opportunities to take part and learn more about the sport. Despite the soaring temperatures, they represented the school brilliantly and had a fantastic time.”

We are incredibly grateful to the organisers for making the day such a success and providing our pupils with an unforgettable experience in one of the country’s most famous cricket grounds.
