Enrichment and Cultural Capital
Not only do we prioritise enrichment and cultural capital at Aragon, but we also take a lot of pleasure in being able to offer our children opportunities that go beyond our curriculum offer. We believe that it is through these rich experiences that children have the chance to grow as individuals, thrive and become able to make connections about the wider world.
"Pupils said that at Aragon Primary School, there is ‘something for everyone’. They appreciate the wide range of opportunities the school provides for them to develop beyond the academic curriculum. They especially cherish the roles and responsibilities that they are entrusted with. For example, some pupils give up their lunchtimes to serve as reading champions, helping younger pupils to enjoy books. The school celebrates diversity through events such as themed weeks, visits to places of worship, and workshops led by a wide range of visitors. These activities and events prepare pupils well for life in modern Britain." - OFSTED, May 2025
Each year group is offered a wide variety of trips, visitors, workshops and assemblies all carefully chosen to enhance their curriculum studies. Our termly theme weeks give us the chance to broaden our pupils understanding of the world whilst exposing them to opportunities to develop their talents and interests.
We have broad range of after and before school clubs too, all designed to give our children access to a wide, rich set of experiences.
